Transfer Station

At Peña’s, we pick up with a purpose: A cleaner tomorrow! That means doing everything we can to make sure we only send trash that cannot be recycled to the landfill. Our 62,000-square-foot transfer station or Materials Recovery Facility, which is staffed by dedicated employees, plays a big part in that mission. At our transfer station or Materials Recover Facility (MRF), our waste-hauling trucks enter a clean, safe tipping area, where containers are visually inspected for recyclable materials. Materials are then:

Weighed and logged into our database.
Sorted by commodity.
Baled by commodity.

Our MRF is also busy with visits from the general public, who haul refuse or recyclable materials to drop off at our MRF.

Metals All recyclables Cardboard Plastics Glass

Hours of Operation:
8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday
